My journey to fitness was not something I chose, it was forced on me when I joined the Navy! The physical fitness requirements were not rigorous, yet I was just barely meeting the standards. Watching my colleagues who did excel was my first look into a new way of life, and I was curious. That curiosity led to my fitness journey being one I chose, and found me winding my way to running 5Ks, 10Ks, 10-milers, 1/2 marathons, and a marathon.
I've enjoyed learning kickboxing, Zumba, & interval training. Thanks to Angie and the team at Beyond Fit, I've expanded my fitness experience to include good nutrition, weight training, and spinning. Any workout that gets my body moving, my heart pumping, and muscles working makes me exceedingly happy.
Teaching spinning allows me to share this happiness and positivity while helping others achieve goals and hopefully have a positive impact on THEIR fitness journey! Although I wasn't thrilled about it when the Navy forced me to fitness, I can't imagine my life now without it, I look forward to seeing you in the cycling studio!
